In collaboration with our foreign supervisors, we organized a webinar for Canada on March 10, 2022, covering the provinces of Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Ontario. An extensive presentation about the characteristics and possibilities of these provinces.
Marianna Westerkamp, supervisor for The Maritimes, and Cor van Gaalen, supervisor Ontario, discussed the developments in their provinces. Dairy farmers Pieter van der Stoel (emigrated in 2003) and Lennert de Haan (emigrated in 2020) also spoke.

Denmark
In our webinar of December 2, 2021, our supervisor, Danitsja Rientjes, extensively discussed the agricultural characteristics and financial possibilities of Denmark. Dairy farmer Greuter and arable farmers also told the Bolt brothers about their experiences as agricultural entrepreneurs in Denmark. The Greuter family emigrated from Middelie in North Holland to Denmark in July '21. The brothers Jordi and Korné Bolt moved from Groningen to Billund, South Jutland, in 2019. They have an arable farm together, where they grow potatoes, among other things.

Sweden
On December 9, 2021, Interfarms organized a webinar on the agricultural characteristics and possibilities of Sweden. Our supervisor, Claudia Gloudemans, gave a presentation in which she mainly zooms in on land prices, agricultural activity and specifically the dairy farming options. Dairy farmer Arjen van Houten talked about his experiences as a dairy farmer in Sweden. In 2010 he moved to Sweden; after having worked for 4 years and getting to know the country, he bought a dairy farm in southern Sweden in 2014. The company has grown considerably over the years, he now milks 450 cows.

Germany
On January 13, 2022, Interfarms organized a webinar about the agricultural developments and opportunities in Germany. During the webinar, our German brokers, Frits Bennink and Jurian Kosters, gave an extensive presentation about the various federal states. In addition, dairy farmer Harold Onis talked about his experiences; in 2018 he moved to the German Westerwald together with his girlfriend.

Canada: Alberta & Saskatchewan - Arable farming
On Thursday, November 18, 2021, Interfarms and Real Estate Center hosted a webinar on Canada's arable farming opportunities for the provinces of Alberta and Saskatchewan.
During the webinar we discussed various aspects that you as a farmer would like to know. Crops, product prices, land prices, but also financing and a concrete business analysis in which we provided insight into the purchase price, additional costs, budget and expected results. An emigrated arable farmer also shared his experiences as an agricultural entrepreneur in Canada. Our visa specialist from Visa4you briefly explained the visa options for Canada.

Canada: Alberta & Saskatchewan - Dairy Farming
On December 16, 2021, Interfarms and Real Estate Center hosted a webinar on Canada's dairy options for the provinces of Alberta and Saskatchewan.
During the webinar we discussed various aspects that you as a dairy farmer would like to know. Farm sizes, milk prices, land prices, financial and fiscal matters. Two emigrant dairy farmers - Henk van den Brink (SK) and Hendrik & Fria van Dijk (AB -) also told about their experiences as agricultural entrepreneurs in Canada.
